About the Society
The Bangalore Neurological Society (BNS) is a professional organisation representing neurologists, neurosurgeons, and allied neuroscientists of Bangalore. With over 400 members, BNS is one of the most active regional neuroscience societies in India.
The Society traces its origins to an informal "Neuro Club" that began meeting in 1983. On April 1, 1994, it was formally constituted as the Bangalore Neurological Society, with the mission to share and disseminate knowledge in the field of neuroscience.
BNS is a non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing the cause of neurological sciences through education, collaboration, and fellowship. Its membership includes Full, Life, Annual, and Associate categories.
Monthly clinical meetings are held on the first Saturday of every month, where member institutions present cases and engage in interactive discussions. Annual CME programmes and prestigious orations further enrich the academic calendar.
